Presidential candidate and ambulance chaser extraordinaire, John Edwards, revealed that he had been paid to work at a hedge fund  (Related)  . He didn’t reveal his salary as an ignorant consultant in the field, but he will when he has to file financial disclosure papers, assuming he’s still in the race by then. But there’s no need to reveal the salary, because if he won’t say, we know it’s quite a bit.

Edwards claimed he worked at Fortress Investment Group to learn about the markets and their relation to poverty in America. News flash John: No one living in poverty is invested in a hedge fund. There’s your relation.

In addition to salary, Edwards’ campaign also received over $120,000 from his “co-workers”. Edwards admitted, amazingly, that his job “was primarily to learn”. Most people have to pay for their education, rather than get paid in salary and donations. Way to be in touch with reality. This humanitarian’s elitist example is sure to be admired by the poverty-stricken.
